Is Nate Solder the best OL in Draft?

Von Miller thinks so….

Question: Who is the best opposing player you’ve faced in your college career?

Von Miller: “Nate Solder.  He’s a beast!  When you’re that big and you’re that quick, it’s real scary for guys like me.  He can match you on every step.  And I went against other guys: Jason Smith, Trent Williams and Russell Okung.  All of those guys are great.  But Nate Solder’s excellent.”

Name: OT Nate Solder

School: Colorado

Size: 6’8, 319 lbs

Expected Round: 1st

3 Cone: 7.44s

Strengths: Great potential with a monstrous frame. The most athletic tackle in the first round as aNFL Draft Rage former tight end. Great wing span and, if he learns impeccable technique, he can counter every rusher. He has great work ethic and possesses the drive to become an elite tackle. Able to slide to block the opposition. On a fantastic meteoric learning curve and is improving at a great rate. Great feet and can mirror the opposition.

Weaknesses: Not a natural bender and can be beat by speed rushers that he can’t reach. Not a mean or overly physical player.  Needs to get with pro trainer for weight control (dropped 12 pounds from combine to his pro day) and his bench press of 225 lbs for 21 reps needs to improve.

Thank you for this post. It is a reminder to me about why I began blogging in the first place. I dwell on my failures all the time, so much so that I dont move forward in key projects so thanks again.
